Randy Ramos - Drums

Randy Ramos was first bitten by the southern rock bug 1976 and immediately started playing drums. It was then that he was introduced to The Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd by a childhood a friend. He was twelve years old. From then on Randy spent countless hours in the practice room behind his drum set listening intently, learning from his favorite drummers and working through his major influences. The drumming styles of Butch Trucks (The Allman Brothers Band), Artimus Pyle (Lynyrd Skynyrd) Benny Benjamen (Motown) and Buddy Rich (The King of Swing) left their eternal attribute on Randy's drumming.

Randy's musical biography includes working in numerous Top-40, Country, and Jazz bands over the last 20+ years. His work experience also includes work as a founding member in the local groundbreaking southern rock band "Bounty Hunter" in the early 80's.

Randy first joined Whiskey creek in 1993 and continued until 1995. After several years as a freelance drummer, Randy returned in 2000. He plays a 1979 six-piece double bass set of Classic Ludwig 6-ply Maple drums.
