Terry Allen: Lead Vocals

The Music Bug bit Terry Allen on Feb. 9, 1964. It was then that he saw The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. From that time on he HAD to play drums!

Terry started drumming at six years old and started singing in his late teens. During his teen years his drumming was influenced by: The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Credence Clearwater Revival, The Who, and of course Lynyrd Skynyrd.

He has always loved the vocal styles of John Lennon with the Beatles (what harmonies), John Fogerty, Paul Rodgers, and Ronnie Van Zandt. Starting Whiskey Creek in 1982 to fill the void caused by Skynyrd's tragic plane crash only strengthened the love for their music that is still in his blood. Even though the new Lynyrd Skynyrd has been touring since 1987, Whiskey Creek continues to recreate the magic of their music and spread the Gospel according to Skynyrd wherever they go.

Terry states that his career highlights are playing with Paul Rodgers, Molly Hatchet and the Southern Rock All-stars; meeting the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1998, getting their blessing for the Tribute and having a few beers with Skynyrd bassist Leon Wilkeson - God rest his soul! He owes his love of music to his Dad who continues to supports him in all his musical endeavors.
